Necklace design
Necklaces have the potential to be the most complex of jewellery items. A great necklace design must match the recipient’s style and neckline but it must also take account of movement and function. When you come to us with your ideas we’ll bring decades of jewellery experience to the design phase to arrive at a set of final sketches.
We work closely with our customer to arrive at a detailed design that captures the concept perfectly and contains every detail to allow it to perform ideally in the real world. As our customer you can choose from a wide range of precious metals, chains, pendant styles and stones our front of house team and craftsmen will assist you in choosing the perfect materials to suit your necklace.
3D Design & Prototyping
Many necklaces are constructed from several or sometimes, many separate parts. Truly exquisite necklaces are perfect in symmetry and form with a pendant that ideally compliments the chain. Although our sketches are detailed by rendering them as 3D models we can reach a greater level of accuracy and precision in the production process and produce spectacular custom necklaces.
Creating a computer model allows our customer an unparalleled chance to preview their item but it also enables us to create 3D printed prototypes. These can be used in the production process to ensure the final item matches the intended form perfectly and truly captures the ideal we started with in the design process.
Creating your Necklace
Our family have been creating jewellery in this fair city since 1952, we’ve honed our skills over the decades. As always, all of the work that goes into each bespoke necklace is carried out in our Liverpool workshop.The hands that fashion each detail will be the same you shake when you meet us to discuss the project in the shop.
Our workshop contains dozens of tools you would have found in a fine jewellery workshop over a hundred years ago. We are masters of traditional techniques. We also have a range of state of the art tools and capabilities that have allowed us to further improve our craft and push the limits of what we can create for our customers.
After care
We’re almost as excited as you are when we finally reveal your finished custom necklace. It will be presented in a luxurious A&M Diggle case, polished to perfection and gleaming. Our journey doesn’t have to stop here. In fact, it may just be beginning. Let us care for your necklaces’ every need through the years
Our cleaning & repair service will always be on hand whenever you need us. We also retain full details of each necklace we make so will always be able to perfectly perform complex repairs, create matching jewellery or even reproduce a full replacement should the worst happen. We have an ongoing relationship with some of our customers and the items we’ve made for them that spans decades and generations. We hope your bespoke necklace will be just the beginning of our story.
